An elevator malfunctioned causing smoke to appear inside the building.
An alarming incident at the Vermont Statehouse on Thursday morning resulted in the evacuation of a large number of individuals. Smoke appeared within the interior of the building, which was attributed to a malfunctioning elevator that activated the smoke detection system.
